Values & Mission I Leadership I Civic Engagement I Academics I Awards & Assessment I Risk Management & Accountability I Councils I Alumni I Parents Fraternities and sororities have been in partnership with Indiana University since 1845. Though much has changed over the years, the core values of these organizations have remained the same. There are over 5,000 students and 65 organizations involved in the fraternity and sorority experience each year. These organizations seek to provide members with opportunities to lead, serve, build positive relationships and to grow intellectually. Fraternities and Sororities are members of one of four councils at Indiana University: Interfraternity Council (IFC), Panhellenic Association (PHA), Multicultural Greek Council (MCGC) and National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC). What we do: Fraternities and sororities are self-governing student organizations. Our role is to assist chapters in becoming more purposeful through the integration of core values into all activities, operations and functions. We are committed to: Values Integration - Encouraging fraternity and sorority members to embody the purposes of their organizations. Leadership - Challenging students to lead for the greater good. Citizenship & Civic Engagement - Active Participation in meaningful, comprehensive civic education and community partnerships. Intellectual Development & Scholarship - Supporting an academic and experiential learning environment that enhances the undergraduate experience and encourages academic integrity. Positive Relationships, Brotherhood & Sisterhood - Creating a fraternity and sorority community that fosters a culture of care and concern for all. |
